Our Story
Beautifully Blended DC has a dual purpose. One, to share, create and sell designs and merchandise that inspire and ignite. Two, Beautifully Blended, the blog, will engage in discussion around the beauty, power, and complexities of what it is to be biracial.
The name, Beautifully Blended, derives from a conversation with friends when trying to come up with a name that is reflective of who I am and everything that I do.
I am biracial, I am adopted, I was raised in an all white family coming up in the 80s. I am a Campus Recruiter by day, I have a master’s degree in Counseling and a bachelor’s in Communication, I am a single mother of 3 and so much more. As a child, I was always looking for a way to create things and make money, from your classic lemonade stand and bake sales to hair scrunchies and friendship bracelets, to my own cookbook and babysitters club. To say I was born with an entrepreneurial spirit and hustle mentality is an understatement. An avid interest in technology, a passion for writing, and a love for creating things with love, from the heart, have all led me to this journey of starting this business. As excited as I am to create for you and share my designs and merch with you, I am equally as excited to connect with others who might resonate with the topics I discuss while sharing my story.
As a business, we build collections of designs and merchandise based on current events, spreading positivity, empowering others and client requests. We want to ensure complete satisfaction with every purchase and will stand behind our work.
